Domain terms

These terms apply when you buy a domain name (like yourbusiness.com) through Olynx for your website. By checking “I accept the domain terms” you agree to them.

1. You own the domain

You are the registrant, the legal owner, of the domain. Your name and contact details are sent to the domain registry as the registrant, so they must be true and kept up to date. Olynx buys and manages the domain on your behalf, as your agent, through our registrar partner (Name.com).

2. Confirm your email

The registry emails you once to confirm your contact details. You must confirm within 15 days or the registry suspends the domain until you do. We remind you by email.

3. Price, renewal and refunds

You pay the price shown when you buy, for one year. The domain does not renew on its own and we never charge your card again without you asking. In the last 30 days of the year we write to you, and a “Renew” button appears next to the domain in My Website: it shows what one more year costs that day, which can differ from what you paid the first time, and you pay it by card. If you don’t renew, the domain stops working when the year ends and your website stays online at its free address; after that the registry may release the domain to anyone. You can also move it to another registrar. Registration and renewal can’t be undone, so there are no refunds once the domain is registered or renewed. If we can’t register or renew the domain after you pay, we refund you in full.

4. Moving your domain

You can move (transfer) the domain to another registrar at any time after the registry allows it (usually 60 days after purchase). Ask for your transfer code in My Website; it is shown once.

5. Using the domain

The domain points at your Olynx website. You must follow the registry’s rules and the law in how you use it. We may suspend a domain used for spam, fraud, phishing or anything illegal.

6. Questions

Write to us in your website chat in Olynx, or at hello@olynxai.com.
